EPA partners CEESD, looks forward to fruitful partnership

August 4 - The Ghana Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has formally registered the Center for Energy Environment and Sustainable Development (CEESD) as a partner organization in the discharge of its mandate of protecting the environment for the benefits of current and succeeding generations. The EPA is also the Designated National Authority (DNA) that implements activities of the Government of Ghana under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC.

 
CEESD begins CDM project for Kumasi Abattoir

June 30 - CEESD and The Energy Centre of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have signed an MOU with Kumasi Abattoir on the development of a CDM project on anaerobic wastewater treatment system for the abattoir.

 


CEESD partners GlobalResolve in ‘twig light’ dissemination in Ghana

twig light27 May - A team comprising CEESD and GlobalResolve, an NGO based in Arizona State University, have organized forums in two communities in Ghana - Dormeabra in the Asante Akim district and Akawli in the Yilo Krobo district. Interactions with community members centred on ways of developing a portable, affordable, and durable twig lights that can easily be fabricated or assembled in developing countries such as Ghana.
