4 - The Ghana Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) has formally registered the Center for Energy
Environment and Sustainable Development (CEESD) as a partner organization in
the discharge of its mandate of protecting the environment for the benefits
of current and succeeding generations. The EPA is also the Designated
National Authority (DNA) that implements activities of the Government of
Ghana under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
UNFCCC.
CEESD begins CDM project for Kumasi Abattoir

30 - CEESD and The Energy Centre of Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology have signed an MOU with Kumasi Abattoir
on the development of a CDM project on anaerobic wastewater treatment system
for the abattoir.
